Imagine your favorite cozy chai chai latte — warm spices, creamy tea, comforting cinnamon — but then give it a playful twist: cold, melty scoops of vanilla ice cream swirling into the chai.
It turns into this dreamy hybrid somewhere between:
☕ a chai latte
🍨 an ice cream float
✨ and a spiced spring dessert drink.
I actually stumbled into this by accident recently while experimenting with different chai drinks, and now it might be my favorite way to drink chai tea.
The ice cream melts slowly into the chai and milk, creating those creamy cinnamon-spiced ribbons we all love to see! Trust me, it tastes like a chai milkshake!
And with spring around the corner, it’s the perfect cozy-but-cool transition drink.

RECIPE:
✨ Cinnamon Chai Ice Cream Float
Ingredients
For one glass
4–5 scoops vanilla ice cream
½ cup Tazo Classic Chai Tea Concentrate
½ cup milk (whole, oat, or almond work great)
Dash of ground cinnamon (or to taste plus extra for topping)
1–2 cinnamon sticks (optional garnish)
Optional toppings
Extra scoop of ice cream
Light drizzle of honey
Cinnamon sugar dusting
Instructions
1️ Start with the Ice Cream
Add 4–5 scoops of vanilla ice cream to a tall glass.
This becomes the creamy base that slowly melts into the chai.
2️ Mix the Chai
In a small pitcher or measuring cup:
Pour ½ cup chai concentrate
Add a dash of cinnamon
You can heat this up as well for about 30-45 sec but not too hot or the ice cream will melt. Stir gently so the spice disperses through the tea.
3️ Add the Milk
Pour ½ cup milk into the chai mixture and stir again.
This creates a creamy chai base before it hits the ice cream.
4️ Build the Float
Slowly pour the chai mixture over the ice cream in the glass.
Watch as the ice cream melts slightly and forms beautiful creamy swirls through the chai.
5️ Garnish
Finish with:
A light sprinkle of cinnamon
A cinnamon stick or two
Optional extra scoop of ice cream
For maximum indulgence.
